Mr Ben Spiegelberg is an exceptional surgeon. I was very fortunate to be referred to him. He is very approachable, caring, friendly and exceedingly helpful. Mr Spiegelberg inspires confidence and his professional skills are second to none. I have implicit trust in him. I had my complete hip replacement in November 2022. The operation was a success and I experienced no pain. After 5 weeks I am fully mobile and walking without crutches. I am now on the list for knee replacement surgery, and I am delighted that this will also be carried out by Mr Spiegelberg. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs hip or knee replacement. Thank you Mr Spiegelberg and your team for your wonderful care.

Mr Spiegelberg first saw me a year prior to my NHS hip replacement operation. He immediately inspired confidence in me with his direct and professional manner. He was most apologetic that I would have a wait of at least a year but would be placed on his list. Having had my hip replacement on 3rd October 2022 at St Albans NHS Hospital I am pleased to say that the whole experience was exceptional. The morning of my operation Mr Spiegelberg came to see me and explained the ramifications of the operation. I was most impressed that he took the time to come up to the ward to see me when he obviously had a very busy day ahead of him in the operating theatre. His manner was so reassuring as I was very nervous and apprehensive. I met with Mr Spiegelberg and his registrar on 18th November 2022 for the six week check up. Despite my seeing his Registrar initially, Mr Spiegelberg took the trouble to pop in to ask how I was progressing. I am pleased to say I am progressing well and now walking unaided with far less pain. I wholeheartedly recommend and thank Mr Spiegelberg for his kindness and expertise. He has given me a new lease of life.

Ben Spiegelberg performed a full hip replacement for me in September 2022 and this has been a transformation from being almost house-bound and in constant pain, to once again leading a full, energetic and independent life. During the consultation Ben inspired confidence and demonstrated competence so that I never once doubted that there would be a positive outcome. Just prior to the surgery I remember feeling excited, rather than nervous, which is a massive compliment to him and his team. Following surgery it was clear that Ben strives for an excellent outcome, not just a good one, and that ambition encouraged me to have higher expectations of myself and to put more effort into my rehabilitation. I wholeheartedly recommend this exemplary surgeon because his abilities stretch from pre-consultation, through superb surgical procedure to high standards of post-operative results.

Mr Spiegelberg performed my knee replacement in May this year and the results have been excellent,if in the future I should require surgery on the other knee I hope he will be available to undertake the op.
